About Chalmers Property Company

Chalmers Property Company is a family owned development firm based in Fairfax, Virginia. Our current portfolio is focused along the I-66 corridor in Fairfax and Prince William counties and is comprised of office, flex and industrial products. Founded in 1991, Chalmers Property has managed, leased, developed and owned properties in the Washington, DC area for almost 20 years.

David M. Chalmers Email David

David M. Chalmers founded Chalmers Property Company, a family owned business, in 1991 in Arlington, Virginia.  Prior to establishing Chalmers Property Company, David attended the Glasgow College of Building in Glasgow, Scotland and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.  David has been involved in Northern Virginia commercial real estate and developed over 2.5 million square feet of real estate since 1982.

Fraser J. Chalmers Email Fraser

Fraser J. Chalmers joined Chalmers Property Company in 2010 as a Project Manager following two years and a Financial Analyst in commercial banking.  Fraser completed his undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College and is currently a candidate for a Georgetown University - Master of Real Estate Development.

Grant J. Chalmers Email Grant

Grant joined Chalmers Property Company in 2008 following two years in mortgage banking in Bethesda, MD. He currently oversees leasing and asset management activities for CPC. Grant completed his bachelors degree in finance from the University of Richmond and his masters degree in real estate from the Johns Hopkins University.

Shannon Perkins Email Shannon

Shannon became Controller for Chalmers Property Company in 2000 after five years with Keystone Property Trust in Upstate New York. During his employment, Shannon was responsible for overseeing the accounting and personnel for over two and a half million square feet of office and industrial space. Shannon earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oswego State University School of Business.

Robbie Stewart Email Shannon

Mr. Stewart graduated from Paisley College of Technology, in Paisley, Scotland, in 1983 obtaining an Honors Degree in Civil Engineering. He has extensive design experience, in both the Structural and Civil disciplines, on commercial, industrial and large public works projects. On the construction side of the industry he has experience on commercial office buildings, industrial buildings and public works projects.
